Hi there! š I’m Nadia, a mom, a project manager, and nowābelieve it or notāa game developer! š® If youāre reading this, you might already know a little about the game Iāve been working on in my free time: Fear in the Facts Farms. But I wanted to take this opportunity to dive deeper into how and why I created this game, and how my kids inspired every step of the journey.
Why I Started Creating Games
It all started with my kids’ love for Roblox. Like so many parents, I watched my children get totally immersed in video games, and I realized how powerful games can be in teaching and engaging them. When we planned a Roblox-themed birthday party for my son, I created a small puzzle game in Roblox for the guests. I didnāt know it at the time, but that little project sparked something big in me! š„
The process of creating games was so rewarding that I couldnāt stop there. I made a few more simple Roblox games, and before long, I wanted to challenge myself with something more ambitious: a standalone game that kids could enjoy while also learning something valuable.
The Idea Behind Fear in the Facts Farms
Iāve always believed that learning can and should be fun, and thatās exactly what I wanted to achieve with Fear in the Facts Farms. š¾ In the game, kids explore a farm, talk to the workers, and learn interesting facts about farming during the day. But once night falls, the farm becomes haunted, and the workers turn into ghosts! š»
Itās a combination of fun, fast-paced gameplay and educational content. The kids have to run from ghosts and throw pumpkins to defend themselves while also learning facts and answering questions. Itās a game where they can enjoy themselves while picking up knowledge without even realizing it!
My Kids, My Inspiration
My twins have been my biggest supporters throughout this whole process. My son, whoās obsessed with Roblox, loves the action-packed pumpkin fights in the game. š Meanwhile, my daughter enjoys exploring the farm and answering the trivia questions to collect āfortune clovers,ā which are rewards in the game.
Seeing how much fun they have while playing Fear in the Facts Farms has been the greatest motivation for me. This game was made with them in mind, but I truly believe it can bring the same joy to other kids too!
Balancing Mom Life and Game Development
You might be wondering, how do you find the time? Well, itās not easy, Iāll admit! š Between my full-time job as a project manager in a big corporation and being a mom, time is tight. But thatās what makes working on this game even more specialāitās something I carve out time for because Iām passionate about it.
Creating Fear in the Facts Farms has been a way for me to combine my love for my kids with my love for learning and technology. Plus, itās given me a creative outlet that I didnāt know I needed. āØ
Whatās Next?
Fear in the Facts Farms is just the beginning. Iām already thinking about what I can do next, whether itās expanding this game or creating new ones that continue to blend fun and learning in unique ways. š”

Wow, turning mom life into a haunted farm game? Thats dedication! š„ Who knew balancing project manager juggling š¤¹āāļø and ghostly pumpkin chucking š could be so rewarding? And teaching kids facts while theyre too busy screaming to escape? Clever! My kids would probably just try to eat the pumpkins, but still, awesome idea. Plus, finding time is a joke, right? š But hey, if it means more fun like the fortune clovers, Im all for it! Hope the next game involves fewer ghosts and maybe more snacks. āØ
This sounds like the ultimate Mom-ent project ! š„ Who knew juggling a full-time gig, mom life, and game dev would be so rewarding… and possibly lead to spontaneous pumpkin fights at midnight? š Creating games for kids while theyre learning without even realizing it? Genius! Its like sneaking veggies into their dinner, but with digital farming and ghost evasion. And balancing it all? Thats just adding extra levels of dedication to the game! Cant wait to see whats nextāmaybe a Corporate Ghosts mode where we run from spreadsheets? š¤ Keep this mom-game revolution going! āØFree compress images
